Garlic (Allium Sativum) –

It have Cardiovascular benefits, it acts by reducing total cholesterol and triglyceride levels.Garlic have other beneficial properties , such as preventing and curing common cold. So used for treatment of cough and chest pain due to congestion. Garlic is also alleged to help regulate blood sugar levels. Regular and prolonged use of therapeutic amounts of garlic extracts lower blood homocysteine levels and have been shown to prevent some complications of diabetes mellitus.Garlic can also be used as an antiseptic. It has been found that a mouthwash containing 2.5% fresh garlic shows good antimicrobial activity.

Turmeric (Curcuma Longa) :-

It is used as a remedy for stomach and liver ailments,as well as topically to heal sores, basically for its antimicrobial activity. A fresh juice is commonly used in many of the skin conditions, including eczema, chicken pox, allergy , scabies. Turmeric paste is often used as an antiseptic in open wounds and also is used to stop bleeding. The active compound of turmeric I.e curcumin is believed to have a wide range of biological effects including anti inflammatory, antioxidant, anti-tumor, antibacterial.

Ginger (Zingiber Officinale) :-

The volatile oil present in ginger is gingerly considered effective for treating nausea, morning sickness, loss of appetite. It is effective in sore throat, cough and digestive disorder. It is particularly useful in treating chronic inflammation because it partially inhibits two important enzymes that play a role in inflammation I.e COX and LOX.

Balck pepper (Piper Nirgum) :-

Black pepper commonly referred as “King of Spice”. The uses of black pepper go far beyond the kitchen where pepper stimulates the taste buds. Black pepper having the volatile essential oil containing the alkaloids piperine which valued in ayurvedic medicine for enhancing bio-availability of drugs and metabolism. In traditional medicine, black pepper has been used for digestive disorders, such as indigestion, vomiting and flatulence. Suggested modern medicinal applications of black pepper have included the treatment of cigarette withdrawal symptoms, postural instability in older adults, and swallowing difficulties in post stroke and neurological disorder patients. It is the drug of choice for disease like sinusitis, cough, indigestion, urticaria and obesity.

Cumin (Cuminum Cyminum) :-

Cumin seeds contain numerous phyto-chemicals that are known to have antioxidant, carminative and anti-flatulent properties. The seeds are an excellent source of dietary fiber. The active principles the cumin may augment the motility of the gastrointestinal tract as well as aids in the digestion power by increasing gut enzyme secretions. This spice is an excellent source of minerals like iron, copper, calcium, potassium, manganese, selenium,zinc and magnesium. Iron and copper is required in the production of red blood cells. Zinc is a co-factor in many enzymes that regulate growth and development, sperm generation, digestion and nucleic acid synthesis. Potassium is an important component of cell and body fluids that helps controlling heart rate and blood pressure. Manganese is used by the body as a co-factor for the powerful antioxidant enzyme, superoxide dismutase. The spice asli contains very good amounts of B-complex vitamins such as thiamine vitamin, B-6, niacin, riboflavin and other vital antioxidant vitamins like Vitamin A, Vitamin C and Vitamin-E .
